Kas see ongi balanss? Hommik oli liiga hea, kohe sellele järgnev
väga halb. Kokku saab keskmise ja hea paistab eriti hästi välja. :)
peal.
midagi. Päike loojus täiesti vales suunas :D „Imetlesin“ rannale uhtunud plastikprügi, see oli sinna tulnud pärast
troopilist tormi ja see tegi meele väga kurvaks. Vanasti sai rannast korjata
karpe ja kive, nüüd on tundmatute plastikasjade tükid. Rannal vedeles kajakalaip, kaks julget
Sealt sai kõike, mis vaja, k.a üks
mõnus ananass.

Muidu pigem ebaõnnestunud pilt,
aga seal on päris elus kala!
Selle avastasin alles kodus.
The crab and a fish! It is not a good photo
technically
but I found this fish at home when I looked through my photos.
Fascinating.
After the storm there are only plastic
garbage on the beach :(

Roman snail!, just like ours in home. A happy

Chapter 10
Idle Saturday
The whale watching was a success as I learned afterwards. I read
their blog and it was several days before they saw another whale. But seeing the
dolphins is also a successful trip because one get their money back only when
seeing no one, but that is not quite possible, there are so many dolphins and
all the time so you see them.
We sat on the main square café, waiting for something to eat,
the ocean made us hungry. The girl who took our orders, seemed rather grumpy
and didn’t want to (or didn’t know how to) speak English and she just nodded
almost everything I asked – f.e. I can’t eat pepper (paprika) and when I asked
is it possible to take it out she just nodded. When I asked pancakes she said because
it is not the season they don’t offer pancakes, only waffles. Ok, I took these.
And I knew I would regret it. Then I made a joke about my octopus-salad I ordered
– “it is probably chopped small pieces and mixed with three colors of paprika”.
And karma is a bitch they say because when my salad arrived it was exactly like that. I couldn’t eat it so I exchanged my salat with my husband’s hamburger :D and the waffles – yes I did regret my decision to take them. I have never had anything that sweet.
Is this the balance in life? The whale trip was almost
perfect and the lunch after and some resting and enjoying in the café was absolutely
not perfect.
Because we were a bit tired we decided to go our own to
discover Ponta Delgada and we splitted. We went left and they went right (:
It was a very idle Saturday indeed – all the shops were
closed, except Chinese shops. Unfortunately there were many Chinese shops. It was
also very hot. We ended up in the seaside in no time and I finally got my first
alive crab! It was big and red and went hiding very fast.
I also saw 2 little egrets (a new species for me) fishing. Maybe
I will make a short story about them in my bird blog.
In the evening we walked into our home beach, we hoped a
sunset-scene but the sun wasn’t there :D it "landed" behind the houses.
it made me very-very sad to see all the plastic garbage on the beach. I remember times when after a storm there was shells and small rocks on the sand but these days no more shells, only unidentified plastic. There was also a dead seagull, two men who caught the waves and a father with his son were building a castle from the black sand.

We found our local store and got all we needed from there,
including a pineapple.
